HAIR CRAE 101

Proper care is essential to maintain the quality of your clipt extensions. Follow these simple steps to keep your extensions looking gorgeous:

Before and after each use, gently brush your clip-in extensions to remove any tangles or knots. Use a detangling brush with plastic bristles or a wig brush with metal bristles for best results.

- We recommend co-washing with a nourishing, hydrating conditioner for more frequent maintenance. Avoid applying conditioner directly to the roots or the clips when washing

- Cleanse your clip-ins with a sulfate-free clarifying shampoo sparingly. Aim for every 6-8 wears or when you can see that the hair cuticles have an excessive amount of product buildup causing the hair to be weighed down. Excessive cleansing can dry out the hair so you want to avoid that if possible.

- Fill a basin or a sink with lukewarm water and add your shampoo. Submerge the extensions and gently massage them. Rinse thoroughly, then apply conditioner from mid-length to ends. Rinse again and gently squeeze out excess water. Let them air dry flat on a towel or blow dry them using a blow dryer on medium-high heat and a detangling bush that allows air to pass through it.

- Heat Styling: Limit heat exposure to prolong the lifespan of your extensions. If you must use heat tools, use a heat protectant sprayand opt for low heat settings.
- Avoiding Tugging: Be gentle while styling to prevent pulling on the clips, which can weaken their grip over time.

- Always be sure to detangle your extensions before storing them. Sign up the wefts and form all of the pieces in a bundle shape and secure them with a scrunchie (similar to how they were when your received them). We also recommend putting them in a loose braid or twist to prevent any excess tangling. Store your clip-ins in a dry, cool place. Keep them in your Clipt satin bag they came in.

-  It is totally up to you if you choose to sleep in your Clipt extensions. IF you choose to we HIGHLY recommend wrapping your hair before bed to prevent the clips from being able to snag on your hair as you may move around in your sleep. Generally it is recommended to remove your clip-in extensions before sleeping to prevent tangling and potential damage.

- We encourage all of our Clipt babes to customize their clip-in extensions. Don't be afraid to trim or style your extensions to achieve a look that compliments your natural beauty the most. We love when you get creative!

- Consider seeking advice from a hairstylist experienced with extensions for personalized care and styling tips.

Remember, proper care and maintenance are crucial for extending the life of your clip-in hair extensions. Treat them with care, and they'll continue to enhance your beauty for a years to come!
